FLO OLAVARRIA

Flo Olavarria is a Toronto-based pop artist, songwriter, and producer who blends witty storytelling with infectious melodies. Praised by Rolling Stone (“Avril Lavigne punkish sneer”) and Music Row Magazine (“sharp pop sensibility”), she delivers songs that have sharp lyrics and a cinematic pop energy - evoking the rawness of Olivia Dean and the fiery flair of Olivia Rodrigo.

Olavarria has gained over 700,000 streams across streaming platforms, and over 2.3 million views across social media in the last 90 days alone. She uses her account @flofessions to build an immersive world for her target audience, the hopeless romantics, by weaving her music into a universe of storytelling and romance.

Olavarria has performed extensively across Ontario, including performances at renowned Canadian festivals such as Lavazza’s IncluCity Film Festival (Toronto, Ontario, 2025), Departure Fest (Toronto, Ontario, 2025), and the Tim Hortons Festival of Friends (Hamilton, Ontario, 2024). Olavarria has also performed for the President of Singapore, and alongside iconic songwriter and producer David Foster. Earlier this year she took the stage at The El Mocambo in Toronto for Canada’s Music Incubator’s event “Day Ones.” She was also a recipient of the RBC Setting the Stage Grant (CLMA).

Most recently, Olavarria collaborated with Hopeless Romantic Books and was invited to perform at their annual Calanmai Bash in Toronto. The event was sponsored by Rakuten Kobo and was held at Twist Gallery on May 1, 2026, further establishing her as an artist whose brand resonates with romance and storytelling communities. Later this year she will be performing at Lakeshore Music & Arts Festival in Burlington, Ontario. 

Last spring, Olavarria was invited to participate in Canada’s Music Incubator 2025 Artist Entrepreneur Program, and she is currently a songwriting and music production student at Berklee Online. Olavarria was born in Chile and has lived all over the world, including Santiago, Singapore, Miami and Toronto. Fluent in both English and Spanish, her multicultural background has shaped who she is as a storyteller.

A lifelong fan of romantic comedies and romance novels, her visual brand and music are infused with the drama, emotional payoff, and charm of a great love story. Her signature aesthetic features romantic vintage-inspired details, sparkling Regency-inspired corsets, and striking colors. She brings the same humor, cinematic sweep and sense of heart that are at the core of her favorite love stories.

Her release, “Love Confession” (2025), is a “playful anthem for anyone who’s ever had a crush on someone who knows exactly how charming they are,” says Olavarria. Driven by flirtatious strings, bold guitars, and a tongue-in-cheek delivery, Olavarria perfectly balances vulnerability with sass.
